From bedtime storytelling to medical decision-making, Petrosino envisions a future where AI is a deeply personal support system woven into our daily lives. In this conversation, he reflects on his work bringing agent-based systems to the private sector, the overlooked role of chip manufacturing and energy in achieving AGI, and why 2028 may mark a turning point in our relationship with intelligent machines. What’s your most compelling dream scenario for AI — a breakthrough that would fundamentally improve life on a global scale? Personalized support system for the hardest decision in our lives from entertainment choices to medical recommendations. What’s a recent project or breakthrough you're especially proud of — and what kind of impact do you hope it will have in the real world? My favorite was implementing a full Agent2Agent and MCP system for the private sector sales teams to gain instant insight and internal efficiency for proactive outreach to potential customers.   **What’s a use case for AI that you think more people should know about — something positive that’s flying under the radar?**   Story telling for kids at bedtime, not only can a child help write the story but you can instantly convert that story page into a coloring book for your child for them to color in the next day. ** ** **If you had to choose one nightmare scenario that keeps you up at night — whether realistic or speculative — what would it be, and what warning signs should we be watching for today?** No thanks, I live in this daily.   **What are we not talking about enough in the AI conversation today — something you believe could be hugely important five years from now? ** Chip Manufacturing and Energy, without these two things we will never really reach AGI.   **Do you think AGI is near? When will we have AGI?** 2028 will be an inflection point where we have many agents running at near AGI levels ushering in a new ear of life for the world.
