An interview with All Things AI's Lavina Ramkissoon

We spoke to Lavina Ramkissoon from All Things AI  ahead of her presentation (14th October 2020) at Inspired AI, the series of 10 cutting-edge and CPD accredited business, science, tech and networking online events gathering the global AI community and hosted by world-leading AI experts #withoutborders running from September to November 2020.

So Lavina, if you could solve any global problem in the world with AI, what would it be?:

Promotes sustained inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment for all Reduces inequalities within and amongst countries. It has the power to revolutionise the way we move, manage and make more of our money.

Presuming that was solved, what would your second choice be?:

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

What do you see as the 3 most important things for businesses in relation to AI at the moment?:

Co-creation reflection of whom they are, in what they create mindset ability to have places to innovate.

What do you see as the 3 most important things for humanity in relation to AI at the moment?:

Conscious thinking co-creation innovation for all.

How do you think AI will make its biggest mark in business/on humanity/the world in the next 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?:

Driving one consciousness and moving to points of singularity. having the ability to transport humanity into a elevated space of creation.

What’s the “coolest”/ most “wow-factor" thing you’ve seen so far in with the use of AI in the sector you work in?:

Being able to make impacts socially and ethically :)

What’s your biggest fear in relation to the application of AI?:

None thus far.

How do you think AI will cause human contact to change in the future?:

It will force us to take a closer look and evolve naturally to next stages of our growth path.

Which 2 people do you admire most in the world of AI in terms of their work?:

There are a few and maybe not enough at the same time. I find pockets of isolation and humanity mindset of still being for 'self.'

Why did you choose to present at Inspired AI this year?:

Love the field, passionate about humanity, technology, economics and dance, I feel there is much to voice in the global efforts towards under developed continents like Africa.

What are your personal goals from the event?:

Learn Explore Research Network world peace (haha).

What are you most excited about at Inspired AI?:

Most inspired about the conversation and co-creation and one voice.
