Creative Destruction Lab (“CDL”) is a seed-stage program for massively scalable, science- and technology-driven startups. The program takes no equity and charges no fees - it is funded through philanthropy.
At the core of the CDL program is a series of four intensive, full-day summit meetings that take place from fall to next summer where founders meet with a curated group of super-angels, successful tech entrepreneurs, and star scientists to set short-term objectives and raise capital.
CDL admits companies in 20 specialized streams including Ag, AI, Blockchain, Climate, Commerce, Digital Society, Energy, Fintech, Health, Matter, Neuro, Oceans, Quantum, Risk, Space, Supply Chain and one general tech stream called Prime across 12 locations across North America and Europe, with CDL-Oxford running AI, climate, fintech programmes and participating in global space and advanced therapies programmes.
Over the past nine years, CDL has curated a group of experienced mentors who provide made-to-order guidance to the founders admitted to the program as they build scalable technology companies. CDL mentors can be found here.
More than 5,000 founders representing over 1,200 companies have participated in the CDL program (a portfolio worth $20+ billion). The full list of CDL alumni can be found here.
The 12th annual cohort runs from September 2023 to June 2024. More information on what the programme offers and the criterion can be found here. Applicants can apply for Creative Destruction Lab's 2023/24 Program Year by completing this form, the deadline to apply is July 28th.
