World Summit AI

Ahead of World Summit AI (11th-12th October 2023, Taets Art & Event Park, Amsterdam), we asked Ferenc Kukucska, Bigdata & AI Architect, Open Telekom Cloud, his thoughts on the future of AI.

As an expert in the field, what critical challenges do you believe the AI community needs to address to ensure responsible & ethical AI deployment?

We need to explain to the users of the AI what exactly they are using, what data we used for training so 100% transparency and informing the end user are the most important things to do in my opinion

How has AI impacted your specific field of expertise, and what transformative changes do you foresee in the near future?

AI made many processes much simpler, so it saved a lot of time for me which I can use for creating new apps and explore new technologies.

How do you envision AI shaping various industries, and what advice would you give to businesses seeking to integrate AI into their operations?

AI will revolutionize almost all industries in the upcoming 10-20 years as it will automate every repetitive task and get us good insights for decision-making.

In your opinion, what opportunities and challenges does AI present for job markets and workforce development worldwide?

A lot of jobs will disappear, especially the ones where people do repetitive tasks but new jobs will get created that also need new skills.

Can you share an example of an AI application or project that has personally impressed you, and explain why it stands out?

FutureGan was presented by me last year in the world ai summit. Me and my colleague had the original idea of showing the people how their environment will look like in 20 years if they do nothing. This teaches nature-consciousness to people with the help of AI and GAN technologies.

What measures do you believe should be taken to bridge the AI research gap between developed and developing nations to ensure equitable technological progress?

Internet access should be provided for all the people living in developing nations.

What 2 people do you admire most in the world of AI in terms of their work?

Alan Turing and Allen Newell.

What advice would you give to aspiring AI researchers and enthusiasts who want to make a positive impact in the field?

Never give up, don't be afraid to ask for help and always tell your client the true.

If you could solve any global problem in the world with AI, what would it be and why?

I would provide internet access for everyone in the world so they can learn a lot of things and be informed about all the aspects of reality.

What inspired you to participate in this AI summit as a speaker, and what message do you hope to convey to the audience?

To see the current state of the art ai solutions and explore new technologies.
