Track 1 at World Summit AI (12-13 October, Amsterdam Nord) - Moonshot Mothership - is all about the world-leading AI Brains who are changing the way we deploy AI, one planet at a time.
The team here has been Inspired by Naveen Jain’s book, ‘Moonshots: Creating a World of Abundance’. The term 'moonshot' is designed to be a one-word summation of the "super-entrepreneur" approach to innovation, which can be applied beyond business pursuits to technological advancements and everyday life. Jain holds a specific idea of abundance that holds strong roots in lofty ideals, pairing these visions with practical insights on how these approaches can be incorporated into everyday choices
Our journey starts in Europe, with former Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid (2016 - 2021) taking us through how Estonia has become the world’s most digitally advanced country, producing the highest volume of tech unicorns per capita, and what comes next.
Following Kersti we have Colin Murdoch, Director of Applied AI and Chief Business Officer at DeepMind, who will be taking us to the frontier defining territory of protein folding and nuclear fusion led by applied AI.
Then we’re taking things up a notch. 197 million kilometres up. Vandi Verma, Chief Engineer of Robotics Operations - Mars 2020 at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory is changing gears. Her keynote address takes us through the autonomous capabilities that go beyond self-driving, with technical details from the red planet.
Back on terra firma, we finish the morning (yes, this is still only the morning) by solving the next pandemic before it happens, with Dr Radhika Dirks, CEO and Founder of XLabs. We thought we’d go for a relaxing keynote before lunch - until we heard what the team at XLabs are up to…
